The one-line version: no account, no ads, no tracking. Your sightings and photos never leave your device. The only data that leaves the iOS app is the purchase information our payment service needs, described below.
Your sightings (date, place, notes) are stored in your own device's local storage. Photos you take or choose are stored in your own device's local database (IndexedDB). They are never uploaded anywhere — we do not operate a server that could receive them.
Camera and photo library: only to attach a photo to one of your sightings. The photo stays on your device. Location: only when you tap the pin button, to read your current coordinates once and fill them into the "place" field of that sighting. There is no background location and nothing is uploaded. You may decline both permissions; everything else still works.
The iOS "full version" unlock is a one-time in-app purchase. Apple handles the payment; we never see or store card or Apple Account details. To process the purchase and let you restore it on another device, the iOS app uses RevenueCat, a third-party payment service. RevenueCat receives:
None of this is linked to your identity, used for advertising, or used to track you across other apps or websites. Your sightings, notes, photos and coordinates are never sent. If you want the purchase data tied to your anonymous ID deleted, write to us at the address below.
All species data and photos are bundled inside the iOS app, so browsing needs no connection; the app connects only for the purchase flow above. The website loads pages and images from our server, which keeps only ordinary access logs (standard nginx logs). Those are not used for profiling. The website has no purchase and does not use RevenueCat.
Under "Me → Settings" you can export your sightings as a .fishlog file to keep yourself, or erase all records with one tap. Deleting the app (or clearing the website's site data) removes every local record permanently.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. The purchase information above is anonymous and exists only if a purchase is made or the purchase page is used.
Species photos come from Wikimedia Commons under Creative Commons licences, credited image by image under "Photo credits and licences" in the app. The only third-party SDK in the iOS app is RevenueCat, used for the purchase as described above.

iOS 应用内的全部物种数据与照片已内置，浏览不需要联网；应用只在上述购买流程中联网。网页版会从本站服务器加载页面与图片，服务器仅保留常规访问日志（nginx 默认日志），不做用户画像。网页版没有购买，也不使用 RevenueCat。
你可以在「我的 → 设置」里把观察记录导出为 .fishlog 文件自行保管，也可以一键「清空全部记录」。卸载应用（或清除浏览器站点数据）即彻底删除所有本地数据。
我们不会有意收集任何人（包括儿童）的个人信息。上述购买信息是匿名的，且只在发生购买或使用购买页时才会产生。
